Well I did it!
I made the decision to invest in the ActiTrainer system for my family. We purchased two ActiTrainer Solution Packages. One each for my wife and I. We have been watching the biggest loser on television for years, and wanted to do something about our extra weight. This year the contestants were provided with a monitoring system called the bodybugg.
We looked into purchasing the bodybugg system, but found that it was too expensive for us at this time. So we kept looking and found the ActiTrainer. After conversations with the sales and engineering teams at Actigraph we decided to try their product.
Each ActiTrainer cost $198.00 and included the ActiTrainer ( in either Yellow, Pink, Black, or White), a belt holster, a Polar Wearlink T31 (heart rate strap), and an armband to wear the ActiTrainer on your arm.
The ActiTrainer can be used to track Calories burned, Heart Rate, Steps, Distance traveled and more, however in order to upload the infomation and be able drill into the details of the infomation collected a subsciption to their VirtualTrainer is required. The subsciption price was $9.95 per month for a single user, $11.95 for 2 users or $13.95 for up to 5 users.
